Ashton’s President’s Prattle: November 2018

President's Prattle

Hello!

I seem to spend my life playing catch up at the moment. I’m writing this from Philip Island where the latest and greatest LOTD is taking place, and yes – I am still playing catch up. In this case I have to find ten seconds and with limited power most of that has to come from the corners, which isn’t likely. But what an amazing circuit – fast, flowing, with variety and challenge – what’s not to like. And the company is, as ever, fantastic. Thank you Lotus Australia. Here’s to Bathurst in February!

PRB’s 40th Anniversary at the HSRCA Tasman Festival

PRB Display at the 2018 Tasman Festival

The HSRCA is holding the Tasman Festival historic race meeting over the 1st and 2nd of December, 2018, and will be featuring a celebration of 40 years of PRB at the event. Club Lotus Australia member Daniel Bando is looking after the display, and would like to invite CLA members to take part.

On Saturday the 1st of December, there will be a pit display of PRBs featuring up to 25 cars. Sunday’s display will only be able to feature six cars, but plans are being made to allow PRBs to park on the figure eight area at the circuit. A track parade on Sunday is also planned, providing that there are no significant race delays.

PRBs are also eligible to run in either the Supersprint or Regularity categories at the event. See the HSRCA website at hsrca.com/tasman-festival/ for details. Many Lotus models are also eligible to run, even including earlier examples of the Elise and Exige.

If you would like to come with your car, please contact Daniel Bando with details such as the day you would like to attend, your name, car and number plate.
