This past Sunday, the 12th of December 2021, we caught up at Tunks Hill in the Lane Cove National Park to conduct our 2021 Annual General Meeting before kicking back for a relaxed Christmas picnic.
We rolled into the Tunks Hill picnic area to find it kindly decorated by Keith Edwards, with delicious cupcakes adorning the boardroom table thanks to Mel Valdes.
Mel also brought an impressive level of tech savvy to the AGM, allowing us to broadcast the meeting via Zoom and invite some of our interstate committee members to take part. The official business was completed in its usual efficient manner, with the updated constitution accepted and our committee offering to stay on and continue steering the ship for another year, with one important change to note.
Anne Blackwood retired this year, following many years of dedicated service to the club. Anne, your fellow committee members, and I’m sure the club at large, are most thankful for all that you have done in building a healthy, welcoming and most enjoyable community. Thank you!
Evan Jones has offered to take on the role for the next twelve months. So welcome Evan, and thank you!
With official business completed, we dispersed into the car park and picnic grounds to enjoy a lovely sunny afternoon together, a refreshing change from La Niña’s recent efforts.

Sorry I was unable to attend due to another commitment. Congratulations on a well deserved retirement Anne. The club has certainly gained a lot from your involvement and enthusiasm. Hope to see you at future club events
