As restrictions around the country slowly begin to lift, event organisers are looking to the second half of 2020 with hope and getting to work on giving people opportunities to use their cars. The Victorian 6-Hour Regularity Relay is one such opportunity, and entries are now open.
The event will be held at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit over the weekend of the 8th and 9th of August and see drivers contest a 6-hour team regularity event on the iconic circuit. Teams from here in New South Wales have made the road trip down to Victoria most years in recent memory, and it’s a lot of fun with the added bonus of an enjoyable road trip and a great community.
We’re living in uncertain times, and organisers are watching governmental regulations and restrictions around COVID-19 closely. A full refund of the entry fee will be offered should the event be cancelled.
Head to the official website at www.6hourrelay.com.au for the full details and to enter, and read on below for the official welcome letter with thanks to event organisers.
Entries for the 2020 Victorian 6 Hour Relay are now open
You will find that entering the 2020 event is different to past years as we have developed an on-line entry system.
To enter this years event proceed to the 6 Hour Web Site www.6hourrelay.com.au and on the first page you will find a link to the entry process.
When you click on the link you will be asked to complete a Google form “A” which is your team details. All the same details as the original paper forms. You will find that a number of the fields are required to be completed before you can proceed to the next step. At the end of this form you will be asked for your payment and this year we are asking all payments to be via Direct Credit to the 6 Hour bank account. Please use your team name as the reference so we can match these forms and payments.
Once your completed form “A” and your payment has been received by the promoters, we will send you an acknowledgement with a link to the form “B” for all driver and car details. Again you will find many of the fields are compulsory before you can move on. These form “B’s” should be forwarded to the drivers for completion. Once completed the driver can then submit them and we will then marry them to your form “A”
Victorian 6 Hour Relay Inc. is very conscious of the current COVID19 situation and are working closely with Motorsport Australia to comply with their “Return to Race” document. Many of the processes for the 2020 event will be done differently and we will be asking all teams to help us comply with the new requirements for social distancing.
Victorian 6 Hour Relay Inc would also like to assure all entrants that should the event not be able to proceed due to changes in the COVID situation a refund will be given
We look forward to seeing a full grid for the 2020 event on the 9th August.
