This past Sunday, the 3rd of December, 2017, we got together for a run, a wonderful coffee stop and the New South Wales Christmas lunch at Peppers Craigieburn. Scroll along for a few photos from the day.
We woke to beautiful weather on Sunday morning, a blessing after Saturday’s soggy conclusion, which presented us with dry roads and gentle sunshine – perfect for a summer’s day in the cars. The day began at Loftus Oval, where those taking part in the full run from Sydney’s south gathered for a chat before heading off through the National Park.
We enjoyed a relaxing drive along the National Park’s winding roads, eventually arriving at Ed Burton’s stunning property, where we stopped for a rest, a coffee and a catch-up while we gathered more friends for stage two of the run. We’d like to send a huge ‘THANK YOU!’ to Ed and Kath Burton for the lovely morning tea and welcoming us so graciously into your home.
From our coastside break we wound our way back inland towards Bowral, taking in stunning green countryside along the way. We eventually arrived at our own very lovely park in the grounds of Peppers Craigieburn, now numbering more than 90. After a quick catch-up outside, we sought shelter inside and enjoyed the Christmas lunch proper.
Many thanks to Anne for the idea to head to Peppers Craigieburn and for putting the event together, Peppers Craigieburn for the lovely lunch and again to Ed and Kath for hosting us. A big thank you to everyone who came along and made such a successful day!
